The new method of teaching is for teachers to lecture with the use of a Powerpoint as a visual guide.

On the horizon teachers are going to have to find new ways to engage their students.
Powerpoints are great, but SmartBoards, Promeathean Boards and evolving iPad technologies are better.
In the near future students will be able to follow along with the lectures using their iPads and take their own individual notes on the screen.

The lesson engages all of the different types of learners.
The lesson is centered on the conditions of war and why it is considered to be the first modern war and uses various means of representation to engage the class.
The lesson calls for a spirt reading of All Quiet on the Western Front, viewing of a clip from the same movie, and writing home a fictional journal entry describing the war conditions.
